Is it possible to install windows 98 on 320gb HDD and explain how to install..?

I have 320 gb HDD, Pentium Dual core processor computer. I want to install win 98 & win xp both on this 320 GB HDD. I partitioned 5 partitions with 63gb each. Then I installed win 98, the screen "Getting ready to run windows for the first time" appears. After that an error message only appears "insufficient memory to initialize windows", "Check config.sys and autoexec.bat". After that the computer turns off automatically.... I have 1 gb DDR2 Ram also.... Please give me to solve the problem.....
