Realistic or cynical, how do you know which one you are?

I beleive I am a realistic person expecting no more or less then what I get . But my familly think I am cynical and a man hater. I dont hate men I just have a poor opinion of most of them, with reason I might add. I dont dislike men in gereral I do think they are the weaker ( not physically but emotionally) and that women in gereneral can cope with crisis better than men , does that make me a man hater or cynic ? or am I just being realistic ?
