I heard this and want to know if it is true.....?

If you owe a debt, lets say 5000.00 and you write them a check for say 100.00 and in the comments part put "paid in full, no further litigation possible" and the company cashes the check, it is a good check, does that obsolve you from that debt. Judge Judy told someone to pay a person half of the money owed and put that on the check so that they couldn't sue later. Does that really work??? Any attorneys out there care to give a free legal opinion????
