Whats the Name of the old country sheriff mystery type show?

It was a show placed in the 60's or 70's in a small country town. The sheriff was older and always wore a white country hat. There was a real tall deputy who was really country, and a black detective, who in one episode turned attorney. They were all real country but some of the mysteries were good.
