Need help with finches/eggs?

Gouldian finches are known for kicking babies out of nests. If you lower the nest, you risk the finches giving up on being parents at all because gouldian finches are not good parents. I know a breeder that has good luck with hand feeding babies, and then the little finches are hand tame.
