Edger Allan Poe/?

He is my favorite Poet. I first started reading his poetry in 6th grade and feel in love. He words and the thing he say makes you want to know more and read on. But somthing thats always puzzeled me was why did some of his stories and poetry come off so evil when really it wasnt? your thoughts?
